The Academic session starts in June and ends in May (As per the Gauhati University Academic calendar).

v     Application for admission into the college should be made in the prescribed form attached with Prospectus which can be obtained from the college office on payment of Rs. 50/- only.

v     Admission to H.S. 1st year course is held after the announcement of the H.S.L.C. Examination result and to the B.A./ B.Sc. course after the H.S Final Examination result.

v     The dates of admission into various classes are notified in the local News Papers and the College Notice Board.

v     Admission will be strictly on the basis of merit and is governed by the college admission rules. The decision of the Admission Committee regarding admission is final.

v     Any pressure or interference from any quarter for admission of a particular student will result in forfeiture of the claim.

v     All admission will made to the college are provisional and subject to the approval of the AHSEC / G.U. The College will not responsible if the AHSEC/ G.U. does not approve the admission of any student on ground of lack of Migration Certificate / Eligibility certificate or for furnishing wrong or false documents and statement.

v     Candidates are required to produce the original copies of the following documents at the time of interview.

·         Marksheet of the last qualifying examination.

·         Age certificate

·         Character certificate, provisional and pass certificate form the Head  of the institution and last attended and

·         Caste certificate whether necessary.

 

Students passing the qualifying examination either then the current year will have to submit a gap certificate from the Head of the institution last attended or Gazetted Officer testifying to his / her activities during the interim period.

All candidates must submit attested copies of (i), (ii) and (iii) above at the time of submission of admission form. Students belonging to SC, ST(P), ST(H), OBC and MOBC categories must also submit attested copy of the certificate from the competent authority.

Admission to college will be held as notified by the college authority. Necessary fees etc. have to be paid on the day of admission to the college. Students detained in the same class for two consecutive years will not be admitted to the regular classes. Will be declared after admission.

H.S and T.D.C. 1st year students who fail to get promotion to the next higher class may also apply for admission along with the fresh application. However, they will not get any preferential treatment in respect of admission to the college. students detained in the same class for two consecutive years will not be admitted to the regular classes of the college.

v     Reservation:

·         There is provision for reservation of seats for students belonging to SC, ST(P), ST(H), OBC, MOBC and Physically handicap categories as per State Govt. rules. Such categories of students shall have to produce certificate form the competent authority.

·         10 seats are reserved for students having records of outstanding performances in the extra curricular activities like sports, culture N.C.C. and others for H.S. and T.D.C 1st year classes each.
