v     National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.): the College has N.C.C. units for both boys and girls in separate wings. A candidate can enroll as a cadet after filling up the required forms form the teacher in-charge concerned.

A substantial number of cadets have scaled great heights. This includes participation in the Republic day camp, Cycle expedition from Kashmir to Knayakumari to arouse national integration, cycle expedition to AIDS awareness etc.

v     National Service Scheme (NSS): The college has NSS cell also. A candidate can enroll as a volunteer by filling up the required form available with the programme officer of the college.

v     Bharat Scouts and Guides: There is a unit of Assam state Bharat Scouts of the national organization Bharat Scouts and Guides. The unit helps in instilling in the cadets a certain degree of confidence, a spirit of indomitable courage, selfless community service, patriotic fervor, power of thought and adjustment which are essential to make the youths disciplined and dutiful.

v     Student’s Travel Concession: Students are entitled to travel concession on their way home form the Institution and back during vacation only (applicable in the Rail & Air Travel only)

v     Career Guidance Cell: There is a Career Guidance Cell in the college. The Cell regularly organizes career counseling meet and give the students exposure to the career options available in different areas.

v     Co-operative Society: There is a co-operative society in the college. Students’ necessary reading materials are available in the co-operative store at reasonable rate.

v     Students’ Welfare Fund: A Student welfare fund has been established in the college to provide some financial assistance to students coming form economically weaker section of the society. The welfare fund committee determines the quantum of aid every year after considering all aspects.

Department of Political Science has started since Nov. 2003, a students’ Welfare fund namely “Lavanya Goswami Welfare Fund” to help the poor and needy students of the department.

v     Scholarship: There is a scholarship section in the college office which is responsible for all matters relating to various scholarships. Generally, the following catogories of scholarship are available to the students.

                                                 I.      National Scholarship.

                                              II.      State merit Scholarship.

                                           III.      SC/ST/OBC/MOBC and Tea Garden Labourer Scholarship.
